Praesidium Accreditation is a rigorous process that independently verifies an organization’s abuse prevention practices are not only established but consistently implemented. The accreditation evaluates eight key operational areas, including policies, screening and selection, training, monitoring and supervision, internal feedback systems, consumer participation, responding, and administrative practices.
Earning this accreditation reflects the YMCA of South Alabama’s ongoing commitment to creating safe, welcoming environments where children, families, members, volunteers, and staff can thrive.
